Health Brand from the Black Sea Expands to the World
The leading healthcare institution of the Black Sea region, Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital, is representing Turkey at the 3rd International Health Tourism Fair in Frankfurt, aiming to extend its regional success to the global stage.
Founded in 2009 in Ünye, Ordu Province, the hospital has established itself as a pioneer in healthcare in the Black Sea region. Since its inception, it has focused on patient satisfaction and high-quality services, leveraging the latest medical technologies.
With a mission to provide accessible, high-standard healthcare, the hospital has expanded its regional service philosophy to an international level.

Focusing on Health Tourism
Speaking to trbusiness.de during the Frankfurt fair, Mehmet Ali Durak, Chairman of the Board of Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital, said: “When we were founded 18 years ago, our primary goal was to serve the local community. At that time, the healthcare sector was not as advanced as it is today. Since then, we have developed our facilities, expertise, and medical infrastructure to meet international standards. Over the past four years, we have been placing particular emphasis on health tourism, asking ourselves: ‘Why not open our doors to the world?’”
Healthcare Surrounded by Nature
Durak also highlighted the hospital’s unique location and environmental advantages: “We believe patients should prefer us over big cities. We provide treatment in a clean, calm environment, free from traffic and noise. From our hospital, hotels are just a ten-minute walk away. We are located directly on the Black Sea, surrounded by forests – a perfect combination of sea view and nature.”
“Our location is truly exceptional.”
The hospital has also developed customized tourism packages for different patient profiles: “For nature lovers, we offer dedicated nature packages. For those interested in shopping or city experiences, we provide other tailored programs. Our location is between two major cities in the Black Sea region, with two airports just an hour away in each direction.”
Offering More Than Treatment
Durak explained the hospital’s comprehensive approach to health tourism: “Through our check-up programs, we emphasize early detection and preventive care. In addition, we have a strong infrastructure in dentistry, aesthetic surgery, ophthalmology, and physiotherapy. We support our patients not only during treatment but also throughout post-treatment care. Our health tourism packages are turnkey solutions, including flights, accommodation, and transfers. Our goal is for patients not only to regain their health but also to experience a safe and relaxing journey.”
