Turkey’s national statistics agency, TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute), has released the country’s inflation data for November 2025. According to the official report, the Consumer Price Index (CPI – in Turkish: “TÜFE”) increased by 0.87% month-on-month, while the annual inflation rate declined to 31.07%.

The monthly rise came in significantly lower than economists’ expectations.

Monthly Inflation Below Forecasts

Market analysts had predicted a monthly CPI increase of around 1.25% for November.
However, with an actual rise of 0.87%, inflation remained below forecast, signalling a slight easing in price pressures across the Turkish economy.

The drop in annual inflation supports expectations of a more stable inflation outlook toward the end of 2025.

12-Month Average Inflation at 35.91% — Impact on Rents and Public Sector Salaries

TÜİK also announced that the 12-month average inflation rate reached 35.91%.

  • The inflation-based adjustments to pensions and public-sector salaries.

Therefore, millions of households will be affected by the newly released inflation figures.

Which Spending Categories Saw the Most Price Increases?

The November CPI report shows notable rises in several key consumption categories:

  • Food and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Housing costs and rents
  • Transport and logistics
  • Clothing and footwear

These sectors continue to shape household spending patterns due to their strong weight in the CPI basket.
