Turkey Posts Record Tourism Revenue in 2025

Turkey delivered a strong performance in the tourism sector in 2025, posting record revenues alongside growth in both visitor numbers and per-capita spending. Official data highlight a year marked by solid gains across key tourism indicators.

According to figures released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat, TÜİK), Turkey’s tourism revenue rose by 6.8% year on year to approximately $65.23 billion in 2025, setting a new record for the sector.

The number of international visitors also increased, surpassing 63.9 million, underscoring Turkey’s position as a major global tourism destination.

Average spending per international tourist reached $1,008 in 2025, reflecting higher per-capita revenues compared with previous years.

  • Total tourism revenue: approx. $65.23 billion (+6.8%)
  • International visitors: approx. 63.94 million (+2.7%)
  • Average spending per visitor: $1,008

The results indicate that Turkey exceeded its tourism targets for 2025, sending a signal of stable growth to investors and industry stakeholders.

Outbound Travel by Turkish Citizens Also Increased

The number of Turkish citizens traveling abroad also rose in 2025. Approximately 11.9 million Turkish nationals visited foreign countries, representing an increase of about 4.4% compared with the previous year.

Average spending by Turkish travelers abroad was recorded at $807 per person, according to official data.
