Newly released national data has revealed Türkiye’s job market landscape for higher education graduates, pinpointing the degree programs that virtually guarantee immediate employment, top-tier salaries, and direct career alignment.

According to official figures compiled from matched administrative registers, medicine, healthcare, and aviation programs have dominated the employment rankings, with top sectors reporting hiring rates well above 90 percent.

Medicine and Aviation Drive Record Employment Success

While the overall registered employment rate for bachelor’s degree graduates adjusted slightly to 73.9% (down from 75.0% in the previous year), key specialized fields continue to experience near-total hiring demand.

At the bachelor’s level, Medicine led the nation with a staggering 95.5% registered employment rate, closely followed by:

  • Special Education Teaching: 90.8%
  • Avionics: 89.9%
  • Mathematical Engineering: 89.8%
  • Nursing: 89.8%

Among associate degree graduates—who saw an overall employment rate of 65.7%Police Vocational Training ranked highest at 92.6%, followed by specialized technical fields including Energy Transmission (87.4%) and Aircraft Technology (84.8%).

From Campus to Career in 2.4 Months: The Fastest Hires

Graduates are finding their first professional roles faster than before. The average time to land a first job decreased to 14.2 months for bachelor’s degree holders and 15.8 months for associate degree holders.

However, healthcare specialists bypassed the wait almost entirely:

  • Speech and Language Therapy graduates secured their first job in a record 2.4 months.
  • Police Vocational Training (Associate level) followed at 3.0 months.
  • Medicine graduates entered the workforce in just 3.9 months.

High Earners: Aviation and Engineering Take the Crown

When it comes to monthly income, technical expertise in the skies and data sectors proved to be the most lucrative paths.

Conversely, graduates from Social Sciences, Journalism, and Information faced the lowest direct job placement matching, with alignment dropping to 20.6% for bachelor’s degrees and 7.8% for associate degrees.
