The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced that Turkey’s population exceeded 85.98 million as of October 1, 2025. But how is the population distributed by gender?
TÜİK released its latest population data, which are published quarterly. As of October 1, 2025, Turkey’s population reached 85,980,654 people. During the first nine months of the year, the country recorded an increase of 315,710 people.

According to TÜİK, the population of Turkey as of October 1, 2025, stood at 85.98 million.

- Increase in the first 9 months of 2025: +315,710
- Increase between July 1 and October 1: +155,800
These figures show that population growth is moderate but steady.

Turkey’s population shows a nearly balanced distribution between men and women.
- Male population: 43,003,770 (50.02%)
